| Why do you define yourself as a Legal Designer? | I have been reading about the legal design movement for about 3 years, and in the past year I started to get closer and more active, to attend courses and conferences, and in the past months I have started writing, preparing and conducting lectures, panels, workshops and courses about legal design issues. I am offering a free course at my university this semester, which will be hosted by the law Faculty but open to the community at-large, and I have already run a series of legal design workshops to associations of SMEs in Brazil, as well as one to the partners in my own law firm, with very promising results. I believe using collaboration and interdisciplinarity to shift the focus of legal solutions to pay more attention and to meet the needs of the individuals that need them by using innovative ideas in general, and digital technologies more specifically, is a delicate step of a massive revolution in the way law has been managed throughout history. |
| Show off your work! Present yourself through one of your projects | I am having trouble uploading the image of the tool |
| Tell us a little about the work you just shared, so we understand how to present it to the community. | This is one of the exercises I carry out during my workshops, through which groups of participants follow a series of guidelines that will help them discuss, imagine and come up with a better alternative for a given contractual clause, by looking at the aim of the clause, what is clear, what could be improved and what is missing. |
